How thick must a CD/DVD for it to work on a Macbook Pro 13" ?

I mean, how will I know if I should push the disc in further or not. It's brand new and I don't want to get a CD/DVD stuck in my mbp. Besides, the Mac store here said that if a disc gets stuck, it will be void of warranty.
