Motorbike floorboards...?

I am planning to buy a cruiser motorbike, and was wondering if the footpegs could be moved back far enough in order for me to ride at a "standard" riding position rather than "cruiser" riding position, that is, feet kicked out far in front, sitting straight upright, as i dislike this position. I realise that the bike I plan to buy (Yamaha Vstar 650 Clic) has a rather low seat height, and that in order for it to not look too funny, I'd have to get the seat height adjusted to a higher height if i get the floorboards moved backwards. I'm not too smart in the customising area of motorbikes, so I was wondering if I could get the floorboards moved back far enough and the seat raised just enough to change the riding position? Would it have to be done at the factory? Also, would it be really expensive?
