How do you add a program to be exempt from Norton's Sonar?

I downloaded a program that is 100% trustworthy. i try to open it and viola blocked by the norton 2010 sonar. It keeps telling me i need to restart my computer and its giving me alot of trouble. Is there a way i can put it on a trusted files list or something so sonar wont think its bad? Thanks!
